Our training classes are designed and delivered by Karen a qualified trainer who has been externally assessed. She is a full member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and the Pet Professional Guild British Isles, and has studied Advanced Canine Behaviour.
We offer "happy puppy and dog training" and in our sessions you will learn how to train your dog using ethical, force-free and up to date methods. We use fun games and activities to train behaviours, which are based on current scientific research into canine learning and development. We want you and your dog to have a great time learning together.
These courses are suitable for pups and dogs over 6m old.
A group environment is not necessarily a suitable option for some dogs. Contact us if your dog is nervous, excitable (including being very vocal), anxious or reactive please to discuss what best suits your pup or dogs needs.
These classes are not appropriate for dogs who have behavioural issues or who require 121 training.
We attended the Bronze training sessions and had a 1:1 session with our lovable rogue Sunny. Since our first session with Karen, Sunny has gone from strength to strength in her training, especially recall where we had huge issues with the terrier in her!
I couldn't think of a more fitting review than today Sunny was running off her lead at Jesmond Dene with her cockapoo friend, chasing their ball and returning when asked!! Thank you Karen and Phil. A couple of months ago we never thought Sunny would get to this point!

Just had to say how much easier life has been with our little Ivy since we learned how she ticks. Having a very boisterous little dog who is full of fun and energy is very tiring, and learning how to interact on her level and understand how she thinks has led to huge improvements in her behaviour.
Ivy can now walk on a loose lead, sit, stay and leave very well after just 5 sessions and she is now giving us some much needed peace lying on her blanket. the world feels like a different place now. Thanks so much.

Four week continuation course for pups and dogs who have completed Brnze
Wednesday 12 June 6.30pm
We have really enjoyed our sessions with our puppy Dexter. We have attended the Puppy Foundations course, and the Tricks and Training Bronze classes. Karen and Phil have been great, and very patient with our extremely excitable puppy. We have practiced our homework every week, and Dexter is really developing his skills at home, with the lessons us humans learned in the classes.

The final four weeks of the programme - date TBC
We have done two courses so far with Karen and Phil, with our puppy El Chapo, and have loved both. We've learnt so much from Karen who is an excellent trainer and makes the sessions really engaging and fun! Chapo has benefited so much from attending and is growing into a happy and confident dog with lots of new tricks learnt as well as us picking up great tips for home training.
