Our training classes are designed and delivered by Karen a qualified and accredited trainer who has been externally assessed. She is a full member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and has studied Advanced Canine Behaviour.
The Blue Dog Pawfect Dog Awards provide opportunities from entry level to more advanced training. They provide a clear route for development for owners who want their dogs to keep on learning and progressing.
You will benefit from individual support throughout our sessions, and we tailor exercises to suit each pup or dog regardless of age, breed or previous experience. We encourage families to come along so that everyone is involved.
In our sessions you will learn how to train your dog using ethical, force-free and up to date methods. We use fun games and activities to train behaviours, which are based on current scientific research into canine learning and development. Everything we do is aimed at increasing the bond and understanding between you and your dog while you have fun training together.
We'll look at how to motivate your dog so they love their training and build your confidence as a handler. This is about you and your dog working together as a team and increasing your dogs focus on you.
A group environment is not necessarily a suitable option for some dogs. Contact us if your dog is nervous, anxious or reactive please to discuss what best suits your pup or dogs needs.

We'll cover all of the essential training cues you will need in everyday life, including name recognition, recall, loose lead walking, heelwork, emergency stop, drop, leave, no jumping, automatic focus on you, sit, "say please", down, stand up and go to a spot. We also do fun activities too such as basic nosework and trick training.
If your dog is reactive, anxious or fearful please contact us to discuss the different options available to you.
The five week Fun, Tricks and Training Bronze Certificate is perfect for vaccinated puppies and dogs with little or no training experience or as a refresher.
It is suitable for almost all pups over 19 weeks, if your puppy is younger, the Pawfect Puppy Foundations would be a great choice. If your pup has completed this, then this is a great next step!
Karen and Phil show so much passion and love what they do. Jac has come such a long way since starting the Bronze Course. All sessions have been backed up with weekly factsheets which makes it easy to practice at home.

Just completed a 5 week Bronze with Belle, a very active Border Collie pup. Karen and Phil were both amazing and very patient. We learned so much each week and practised our homework as much as possible. Can't recommend Blue Dog enough. Thanks Karen and Phil.

Hi Karen and Phil Thank you so much for yet another fabulous training course. We had a great time learning new ways of looking after our puppy and with your help she is growing into a confident and happy dog. She loved the mental stimulation and was always excited when we pulled into the car park to start another session! Looking forward to the gold training course next!

I had a great experience on Silver as I learnt a lot more in depth training techniques to help Alfie. I do the training at home, and he is making real progress.
I'd like to thank Karen and Phil for their their support with my mobility issues

Sidney and I thoroughly enjoyed our bronze fun, tricks and training sessions. There was lots packed in, but it never felt rushed or overwhelming.
